On the Run at Sunrise? by A Texas Artist Laurie Pace

On The Run at Sunrise?

Always on the run?

Always worried things are catching up to you and you have to run faster.

Early morning we start out on a slow pace...

Looking around and taking in our surroundings.

The sun has broken through with morning light and we are newly awakened to the day.

We begin our day and seem to fall right in line behind others, following their path and their way.

It may not even be the direction we are suppose to be traveling, but it seems safe, others are doing it too.  We stay sheltered and hidden in the shadows hoping no one will single us out.

Suddenly there is a huge noise and those around us begin to run.  We follow in pursuit not knowing what we are running from, but not wanting to be left behind.

We run with fear that has flooded through our mind and body. The adrenalin is flowing freely. Fear from others is contagious.

So from the bright light we scamper with the crowd back into the deep shadows.

The light hurts our eyes.

The light lets others see who we really are.

Time to stop running. Time to come out of the darkness and walk in His light with Him.

God is Light.

““Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.” Matthew 5:11-12
