Time to Bloom, Words of my Heart by Texas Artist Laurie Pace

Shout for joy, you heavens; rejoice, you earth; burst into song, you mountains! For the LORD comforts his people and will have compassion on his afflicted ones.  Isaiah 49:13

Feel His comfort and grace.
Prepare your heart.
It is time to bloom.

Taking refuge in Pink, Words of my Heart by Texas Artist Laurie Pace

But let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may rejoice in you.
Psalm 5:11

Well, Lady L's mother allowed her to take life a step further.
Pink brings this child such joy.  Wisely her parents allow her the freedom of one wall of her color choice in her room.  Surrounding herself with something joyful means she  gives back 100 fold with her laughter and her love as she is influenced by the pink in her room.

What fills your life and your home? Is your house cluttered with 'stuff' piling up?  Are there broken things that need to be mended that you have been trying to get around to for the past few years?

Nothing feels better than clean sheets on the bed. Nothing smells better than almond oil on the furniture in the house. Nothing is calmer than a room swept and things neatly put away. Work is behind you and giving thanks and being joyful is so much easier.

Do not just open the window for fresh air in your life, but open your life to God's fresh grace... everything in life will begin to balance out. Surround yourself with Him and joyfulness will fill your life.

The LIfe of a Dog, Words of my Heart by Texas Artist Laurie Pace

“Yes it is, Lord,” she said. “Even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their master’s table.”  Matthew 15:27

This is Lilly. She is our grand-dog with the prettiest eyes.  Her immediate family is expecting a new baby boy early next year and Lilly's life will change as her family grows bigger with more love.  All part of that change and transition that appears in our lives.

Lilly lives her life day by day knowing Justin and Tara will provide for her every need. She has no thoughts to changes in life, or even to danger until it rares it head and alerts her. To live your life with such relaxed contentment would be pure grace.

He provides that grace, but we seem to bury ourselves into busyness.

The Temptations and Traps, Words of my Heart by Texas Artist Laurie Pace

Something that seems to be at me daily is trying to stay out of the trap of eating from stress. Having lost close to 20 pounds last year and staying at the lower weight for over a year now, I really am ready to lose the last ten pounds.

I seem to forget again that my body is a gift and it houses my spirit and soul for this earthly journey. My bad habits and temptations from life are always pulling on me. Somehow it bothers me at night when I climb into bed and think about the day and groan... and then in prayer in the morning KNOWING what I need to do.

Then stress will hit from somewhere during the day and I am searching out the almonds. We do not keep anything bad snack wise here at all, but too many almonds in one day can do some damage. I need to listen to my inner voice to walk away from that stress and not be motivated to seek food as solace.

This is a retraining again of saying NO to the traps that are there. Finding strength and reminding myself I am not hungry.  This is where the vision of healthy and whole must come to play and a prayer of gratitude to God for helping me reteach my body how to respond to this chaotic life. I am open to receiving grace for this. I am open to healing and wholeness.

Freedom, Shared Words from A Texas Artist Laurie Pace

It flashed across Facebook. It was one of those images of yellow with printing on it and no referral to where the origin was.

The message was deep for such few letters in finding happiness:

"Free your heart from hatred.

Free your mind from worries.

Live Simply.

Give more.

Expect less."

"If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land." 1 Chronicles 7:14

Tender of Heart, Words of my Heart by Texas Artist Laurie Pace

Tender of heart seems to escape the thought of many these days. Driving into Dallas and back home yesterday more than proved that to me with the questionable driving skills and determination of many on the road.

Be aware of others around you. Be open to their body language as well as their words. They may contradict and it will take prayerful insight for you to know exactly where they are in their journey to respond in a manner that benefits them and lifts them into God's light.

Recognize and accept each person you meet carries a load with heartache. We all have our own agendas and problems. Be kind today. Be tender of heart and be forgiving as Christ forgave you.
