Tears from Heaven. The heavens are releasing rain across our neighboring states of Louisiana and Arkansas. It is frustrating to be on that 'line' where the rain seems to stop right before it gets to our county. We drove to swim at the Wellness Center in Mt Pleasant and raindrops fell on the windshield and dark clouds boiled across the sky. The wind was stoutly pushing vehicles swaying on the interstate. As we left to come home we had high hopes of rain.
Back home it was a tiny sprinkle and nothing more. Strong winds blow across the pond. We can see the rain on radar only a few miles away but it is not in His plan for us.
At times we envision something so clearly in life we try to will it into being. We are devastated when it is within reach and it never comes to be. It must be part of God's plan for our lives.
May His strength lift up all those affected by this hurricane and remaining storms. We thank His wisdom in all things.
"Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe..." Hebrews 12:28

Light of my Work and my Life, Words of my Heart by Texas Artist Laurie Pace
It is here that I rely on His touch in my work.
I pray before beginning every painting.
His Spirit is woven in every stroke of my work.
His love is the light of my work.
This is the 100 day of my paintings and my readings in Psalms.
God is good.
Psalm 119:105
a light on my path.

Our portion... Words of my Heart by Texas Artist Laurie Pace
We have taken on eating a more natural plant diet.
We are not vegan, but we are plant based.
This marks 9 weeks and we have adjusted to the excitement of discovery in the kitchen. After tracking protein in food for a few days I realized immediately we were getting plenty of protein.
Giving up dairy was the hardest...but God is our partner in this as we know he provides our portion each day.
Psalm 119:57
I have promised to obey your words.

You have given me Hope by A Texas Artist Laurie Pace
Petals from my summer roses gather in an old pie pan from
Great Granddaddy Haskell.
Funny how so many things stay with us for what seems to be a lifetime.
Psalm 119:49
for you have given me hope.

Ready to Bloom? Words of my Heart by A Texas Artist Laurie Pace
When does 'life' begin? When do we come 'alive' and an active part of
His working plan?
I believe you can be old and still be like this bud.... ready to burst into bloom.
I believe that we can be a rose bush and grow thickly and never put out a bud to bloom until late in life.
Everyday we seek His counsel and go about our lives and many of us never begin to bloom in life. We are so busy growing and putting vines out in every direction never stopping to bloom.
We all have what we need to bloom.
Psalm 119:32
for you have broadened my understanding.

Abundance surrounds us...Words of my Heart by A Texas Artist Laurie Pace
What kind of footprint are you leaving each day?
God has provided everything we need and gifted us with the ability and wisdom to make our life in a healthy way under His guidance.
When did we go so far from the path He blazed for us?
Abundance is ours. Have you looked around and given thanks?
Slow down, you move too fast. We have to make this lifetime last by caring for others and caring for the world we live in.
Tomatoes on my bush in the garden. I give thanks.
Psalm 119:17
Be good to your servant while I live,
that I may obey your word.
that I may obey your word.

Endowed with Power...Words of my Heart, A Texas Artist Laurie Pace
The skies in the Hudson River Valley Fall 2010.
The trip was long but full of so many twists and turns. Our car broke down on the trip from Texas to New York. It was in Virginia... and from that point history was changed as only He can do it. Despite the challenges we faced, we endured through His love, trusting Him to comfort us, even as we lost Terry's Dad before we could return to Dallas.
Your arm is endowed with power; your hand is strong, your right hand exalted. Psalm 89:13

Love Stands Firm... Words of my Heart, A Texas Artist Laurie Pace
The beauty of the Ozark Mountains as we traveled north last summer. This winding road left a memory etched reminding me of His Love standing firm forever... the path established and I to follow through my faithfulness.
I will declare that your love stands firm forever, that you have established your faithfulness in heaven itself. Psalm 86:2

Great is His Faithfulness... Words of my Heart by Texas Artist Laurie Pace
This is the Hudson River Valley in New York. Fellow Artist Jamie Williams Grossman took us all over the valley and
we ended at sunset on a high hill overlooking the valley.
Great is His Faithfulness.
Teach me your way, Lord, that I may rely on your faithfulness; give me an undivided heart, that I may fear your name. Psalm 86:11
