But as for me, my prayer is unto thee, O Lord, in an acceptable time: O God, in the multitude of thy mercy hear me, in the truth of thy salvation. Psalm 69:13
Prayer time is a time to share a close to a day with your children and family. What a joy to sit in the quiet of the evening praying together with the Father.
Even while you sleep among the sheep pens, the wings of my dove are sheathed with silver, its feathers with shining gold.” Psalm 68:13
He covers the world with His light and grace. He provides our every need. He fills us with Joy!
Sing to God, sing in praise of his name, extol him who rides on the clouds; rejoice before him—his name is the Lord. A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling. Psalm 68:4-5
I grew up with violets in my home as a little girl. Their vivid colors and delicate blooms wove their way into my heart. Indeed each day of our lives is loaded with benefits and gifts from God.
Blessed be the Lord, Who daily loads us with benefits, The God of our salvation! Selah Psalm 68:19
My Soul Thirsts...and only He can provide the living water.... Reflections of His love. The deer know just where to go. Do you know where to go?
As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God? Psalm 42:1-2
Out of the mud and mire... He will set your feet upon solid ground.
I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear the Lord and put their trust in him. Psalm 40:1-5

It's a dicy situation... life is at least. Our busy lives keep us cut up and divided in too many ways. There are literally not enough pieces of us to go around. Joy is learning to be still in Him. Joy is learning to be patient in Him.
Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes.
Refrain from anger and turn from wrath; do not fret —it leads only to evil. Psalm 37:7-8

These peaches grew joined 'at the hip' you might say. You should be the same with our Father, you should be joined to Him in heart, soul and life. Joy is knowing Him.
Take delight in the Lord,
and he will give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37:4
Commitment to giving it up. Giving up YOUR way and doing it HIS way. The reward of His grace and light will fill every corner of your life. This light will guide you in the darkest moments to find your way. This grace will fill your every need.
Commit your way to the Lord;
trust in him, and he will act.
He will bring forth your righteousness as the light,
Steady at the job at hand. Knowing the Father stands beside you... the job brings you closer to Him. Steadfast is His love. Steadfast is His mercy. Steadfast in His Joy.
Oh, continue your steadfast love to those who know you, and your righteousness to the upright of heart! Psalm 36:10
Joy is the calm beauty of the lake where we live... this is off the dam on our property looking up a small channel to the main lake. His beauty surrounds us.
The webs we weave ... every day. Words said, actions done ... none can be taken back. We weave the web around ourselves of our words and actions. We are caught in our own webs.
The joy is the Lord will forgive your words and deeds and through Him you may find the simplicity of life and love.
I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth. Psalm 34:1
Our lives seem to root out in every direction of things to reach out and be involved in. Some are worthy of Him as we serve and give to others. Many more tangle around us as we root our ways into earthly things that consume our lives. Joy is knowing these earthly roots will one day be cut and our hope remains in the Lord as we grow in His unfailing love.
When was the last time you did something that was fun that you wanted to do just for yourself? God wants you to have the desires of your heart. He longs for a relationship with you. That is the desire of His heart. Do you have a relationship with Him? Take two for that relationship and He is waiting to hear from you. Your JOY awaits.

Our grandchildren seem to hold us in higher esteem than our children did at the same age. I love grandchildren. You can love them and spoil them and even lovingly share your opinions and they still love you. In so many ways we are the stronghold in their little lives as they grow. Parents seem to be in such a major growth area in careers and the busy world that they live in daily and they have less time for their children then I did when mine were young. Times change.
The one unchanging Joy in our lives is the Lord is our light, our salvation and the stronghold in our lives. We need not be afraid.
The Lord is my light and my salvation — whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life - of whom shall I be afraid? Psalm 27:1

This was our granddaughter a few years ago mesmerized by our glass coffee table and looking through it to see things and how they looked. She would run get her toy and stick it under there and then climb half on the table to see the funny distortion. The giggles erupted and back for another toy.
God wants us not to take so much so seriously that we make ourselves sick with worry or indecision. We need to look at things from out of the box, or maybe like Lady L, through glass to see it from another perspective.
His unfailing love is there. What is needed He will provide. Be patient and wait upon the Lord.

For I have always been mindful of your unfailing love and have lived in reliance on your faithfulness. Psalm 26:3
The joy of youth leaves memories of good times. As we age and grow we look back fondly at those times feeling the sense of belonging and freedom. When you are young you are not usually strapped with responsibilities of bill paying, making decisions for whole households, dealing with health issues for yourself and parents... you live for the day. Youth has a certain innocence with it and the freedom of joy to experience life.
Many wrong decisions are made. They are necessary for growth, knowledge and wisdom. How awesome is He to give us the joy of life... not just in our youth but in our old age as well.

Remember, Lord, your great mercy and love, for they are from of old. Do not remember the sins of my youth and my rebellious ways; according to your love remember me, for you, Lord, are good. Psalm 25:6-7
Trust. The trust of a baby is so pure. What can we not trust like that as adults? Being able to trust someone with your insecurities or your inadequacies is hard to do. Can you trust in Him? You must when those in your life fail you.
Words of my Heart, Laurie A Texas Artist Laurie Pace
In you, Lord my God, I put my trust. I trust in you; do not let me be put to shame, nor let my enemies triumph over me. Psalm 25:1-2
A safe place awaits all of us in our Father's house. He has already prepared a room for us. Meanwhile in this life's journey His goodness and love surround us to keep us in His grace. What a pure joy to know He has all in place.
Words of my Heart, Laurie A Texas Artist Laurie Pace
Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the Lord forever. Psalm 23:6
Do you own a quilt? This is not even a quilt but it is an apron. Our lives seem to be 'quilted' together with patches of experiences. I fell in love with this apron as it had some of my freshest colors and designs and it brought joy to me. No matter what experiences are patched together to make your life and you into the person you are today... know that God's way is perfect and flawless. You were made by Him.
Words of my Heart, Laurie A Texas Artist Laurie Pace
As for God, his way is perfect: The Lord’s word is flawless; he shields all who take refuge in him. Psalm 18:30
Our summer has already hit 100 two days in a row... and the joyful news is, it is 15 degrees cooler than last summer at this time. The Lord is truly our rock and fortress through the heat of summer and the cold blasts of winter.
Words of my Heart, Laurie A Texas Artist Laurie Pace
I love you, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies. Psalm 18:1-3
