What is strong in your world? Is it your faith? Your relationships? Your family?
At anytime when I am stressed I can step outside and gain immediately strength and comfort by God's world around me. The leaves blowing on the trees, the song of the wind, the tall towering forest that surrounds our home... and the gentle lull of the water. My strength is in Him.

The Sparrow has Found a Home... Words of my Heart, A Texas Artist Laurie Pace

With the heat outside reaching in the hundreds again this year, Terry and I have made a commitment to keep the bird feeder full and water available. The humming bird feeders are full too.  We are part of God's world and we must care for all around us.

Even the sparrow has found a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may have her young— a place near your altar,  Lord Almighty, my King and my God. Psalm 84:3

The gift of life from the Father. He delivered us safely from our mothers and still today cares for us as our Father. He is our constant hope. He is our constant in every way. He is there for us when we praise Him or when we cry out to Him in desperation.

For you have been my hope, Sovereign Lord, my confidence since my youth.

From birth I have relied on you: you brought me forth from my mother’s womb.  Psalm 71:5-6

Our neediness seems primary in our lives. Our first waking thought is what we need for the day or things we seek to do that day. 

First waking thought should be on Him, the joy of what He has already provided and given you in this life. 

But as for me, I am poor and needy; come quickly to me, O God. You are my help and my deliverer;  Lord, do not delay. Psalm 70:5

In our lifetime we seek to find many things from happiness, to completeness, to success and on.  The truth lies in seeking HIM and only then will you find the contentment you are searching for.

But may all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you; may those who long for your saving help always say, “The Lord is great!” Psalm 70:4
