We had a black Schnauzer, ...This tugs at my heart. We had a black Schnauzer, Jazz, that was THE smartest dog ever. She died young - only eight, but she helped me raise my first four children. If it wasn't for her, my fourth child would have NEVER taken naps. Two year old Emma would curl up with Jazz on the floor on her dog bed of all places and the two would snuggle and nap. The kids could tug all day at her "beard" and she would just whimper... she would NEVER bite them. Now, the pizza boy or strangers, that was another story.... :)<br /><br />They leave a hole when they go, but think of the hole they filled for the time they were with us.
